About Antoinette B.
Hi there! I'm Antoinette, and I would absolutely love to be your Dutch tutor. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, so I speak Dutch as a native speaker. I've traveled a lot and lived in different places, which gives me a clear understanding of how challenging – but also fun – it is to learn a new language. In my lessons, I tailor everything to you and your learning style, so we can make quick progress together. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching, both in high schools and at the university level. Throughout my career, I've taught many adults and children, so I'm quite skilled at conveying the finer details of the Dutch language. I'm specialized in the NT2 exam. Antoinette teaches well, is structured, keeps the lesson time on her student and their needs. I have a very specific lesson goal (business Dutch, writing only) and she takes care to help me with that specific goal and doesn't teach me things that are unnecessary for me. Grammar is functional, not general - top points for that! I like the homework, which is also personalised for me. All in all, a great teacher!

Antoinette is always so patient and explains Dutch concepts clearly and thoroughly. I have already seen a huge improvement with my dutch over the last month working with her. I also have much more confidence to speak out in the wild!

Despite the fact that we only had four lessons due to my financial situation, those lessons helped me tremendously. Especially the focus on the pronunciation of Dutch sounds was incredibly valuable. Antoinette explained the different sounds, exceptions, and subtle differences very clearly, and we practiced the pronunciation extensively.
