Hi there! My name is Carolyn, and I'm a patient, enthusiastic, and results-driven tutor who helps you learn Dutch with joy, clarity, and confidence. As a coach and guide, I've been working for years with women and young people who want to grow, and I believe that language is one of the most powerful tools to open new doors. That's why I support my students with warmth, structure, and an approach that is fully tailored to their pace and personality. My teaching experience is broad and deeply rooted. I've tutored elementary school kids for years, helping them with language, reading, math, and general study skills. Additionally, I've taught swimming lessons for a whopping 23 years to both children and adults. I've also worked as a class assistant for a year at a havo-vwo school. That experience taught me how important trust, patience, clear explanations, and positive motivation are. In the lesson space—whether it's a swimming pool or a language class—it's all about safety, fun, and the feeling that you're making progress. I carry those same principles into my Dutch lessons. My passion lies in creating a learning environment where you can make mistakes, ask questions, and grow step by step. I motivate my students by showing them that language is not a barrier, but a skill that you can develop quickly with the right guidance. Together, we work on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and most importantly, daring to speak. Besides teaching, I have a creative side: I love dancing and I make my own natural skincare products.
