About Celina S.
Hi there! I'm Celina, and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm a sociologist and anthropologist, and I love traveling, dancing, surfing, and meeting new people. Hopefully, you'll be one of them soon! 😊 Instead of teaching in the traditional way that many of us remember from school or university, I believe that learning a language should be fun and personal. I enjoy discussing Dutch culture, travel, books, history, and all sorts of social topics. But what I love most is getting to know my students and learning from them as well. I see learning a language as building with different building blocks: vocabulary, conversations, and grammar. These elements reinforce each other. By combining them in my lessons, your Dutch will progress naturally. And of course, I also love talking about topics that you find interesting! I hope to see you in a trial lesson!

I’ve been taking Dutch lessons with Celina for a couple of months now, and so far, it’s been going really well! So well, actually, that I still feel very positive and motivated about learning Dutch, even though I know it can be quite challenging. Celina is an amazing teacher. Her classes are always fun and engaging, and I really like that every lesson has clear objectives and a good structure. It makes it much easier to stay focused and see my progress. I also really appreciate that we can speak Spanish when needed. Sometimes, when I can’t find the right words in English, being able to explain something in Spanish helps a lot. And most of the time, thanks to Celina’s explanations, I can quickly get to that “Oh, op die fiets!” moment 😂 I’m really enjoying the lessons and feel like I’m making good progress. I definitely recommend Celina if you’re looking for a Dutch teacher who makes learning both structured and fun!

Celina is a great and passionate teacher. She is always in a good mood, smiling and full of positive energy, which makes it much easier to understand and absorb her explanations. All lessons are very well structured and focused on the topics that need improvement, or on areas we have agreed in advance to practise more. She provides lots of real-life materials, including modern texts and songs, which makes the lessons engaging and relevant. Our discussions are always open, interesting, and thought-provoking. I highly recommend Celina and give her my full support!

Celina is super nice! I really enjoy her classes because she always brings such a positive and fun energy. She makes every class enjoyable and always comes up with new and interesting things to talk about. I also really appreciate how she adapts the lessons to your needs and makes sure they work for you. She also speaks both English and Spanish, which is super handy and makes it much easier whenever you need an extra explanation :)

Celina is a wonderful teacher! She's friendly and enthusiastic, and brings a calm, grounded energy to every lesson. She's always well prepared and introduces interesting and thought-provoking topics. She also ensures that there's plenty of time for discussion and speaking. We started our intermediate lessons by exploring more complex, real-life topics, which was exactly what I needed. It made the classes both engaging and relevant, and encouraged me to use Dutch in a more natural and meaningful way. I really appreciate her encouragement and the comfortable, supportive environment she creates.
