About Daan S.
Hey there! I'm Daan, and I'm from the Netherlands. One of my biggest passions in life is always being engaged in learning something new. It keeps you young and flexible, as I've found out. Plus, it leads to new adventures! The best part about learning and teaching is seeing progress in yourself and others. I come from a place near Amsterdam, where I worked as a statistics teacher a few years ago. Right now, I'm back to full-time studying again. But enough about me. What are your learning goals? Whether you're just starting out or have more experience with Dutch, it's my honor and pleasure to help you and encourage you to become a true Dutchie! ;) I've taught biology to high school students, statistics to bachelor's and master's students, and I've also helped them with their thesis writing. Learning to speak a language well isn't hard; it simply requires a lot of small steps. Make sure to take a few small steps every day, and you'll see that you progress quickly! Seeing your own progress is an incredibly beautiful and rewarding experience. I've made the same journey, and I believe I can encourage you to do it too!

I prepared for my inburgering exams with Daan and passed everything on my first try. He really helped me build confidence, especially with speaking. He’s a very flexible and attentive teacher, always taking notes and suggesting more natural, native-like ways to express myself. I also really enjoy our conversations, we can talk about all kinds of topics, which makes every lesson interesting and fun. Highly recommended!

Daan is a brilliant tutor, he teaches Dutch to my son who has an autistic spectrum, Daan is cheerful, patient, he illustrates books with reading in English and then in Dutch.We are extremely happy that he is the tutor and we would choose him a thousand times again.
