About Emma V.
Hi :) I'm Emma, and I'm from the Netherlands. I enjoy meeting new people and helping others gain more confidence when speaking Dutch. Through my travels around the world, I discovered just how valuable language is for truly connecting with people. Besides traveling, I love theater, salsa dancing, and hiking—and I love bringing that passion for connection and fun into my classes! My lessons are relaxed and focus primarily on having everyday conversations. Together, we'll choose topics that are truly relevant to you: travel, work, hobbies, running errands, introducing yourself, or just having a friendly chat. And because a language is more than just words, I'd also love to tell you about Dutch culture and customs so you can fully immerse yourself in the Dutch way of life. My focus is mainly on having conversations and building self-confidence. I'd be happy to help you with everyday topics so that Dutch starts to feel more and more natural to you. Thanks to my travels and my international circle of friends, I know better than anyone what it's like to have to express yourself in a foreign language and the challenges that come with it, such as building confidence and daring to make mistakes. My approach is accessible and personalized: no rigid lesson structure, but a relaxed conversation that focuses on you. We'll practice at your level, at your own pace, and with topics that are truly relevant to you. With me, you don't have to prove yourself or be perfect. It's laid-back and without pressure, because making mistakes is part of the process—and that's exactly how you learn. My goal is to help you gain more confidence, so that speaking Dutch feels more and more natural and easier.
