Dag, allemaal! Hello, my name is Fajar. I graduated from the University of Indonesia, Faculty of Humanities, majoring in Dutch Studies in 2009. I have been teaching Dutch language lessons to Indonesian and English speakers since 2008. Learning Dutch language and culture is a great pleasure for me, and I enjoy teaching it to those who are interested. Teaching Dutch has been a significant part of my life. It brings me great satisfaction to support people in learning Dutch for various purposes. I'm ready to guide you and make your learning experience fun, enjoyable, and less stressful. I have over 17 years of teaching experience. I began my teaching journey as a private Dutch tutor for individuals working in Dutch companies in Indonesia. I have expanded my range by offering preparation classes for individuals needing to take the Integration exam for MVV, conducted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jakarta, Indonesia. I also have experience interacting with both Dutch-speaking children and adults from my time as a learning assistant at the Netherlands International School in Jakarta, where I worked for 2 years. To prove my Dutch language proficiency, I have been awarded the CNAVT (Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal) - Certificate of Dutch as a Foreign Language at the C1 level by the Nederlandse Taalunie. I completed an internship program to become a professional Dutch teacher at Erasmus Taalcentrum - Erasmus Dutch Language Centre in Jakarta, which lasted for 6 months. Since then, I have continued teaching Dutch in various language centers, offering both offline and online classes. During my teaching sessions, I focus on practical daily conversations, covering speaking, grammar, listening, and writing skills. I deliver lessons in a fun and interactive way to ensure that students engage and feel more confident using simple Dutch sentences in their daily lives. In just two months of lessons with Fajar, I've become much more confident in both listening to and speaking Dutch! One thing I really like is that we always start each lesson with light conversation. It gives me a chance to practice in a casual setting and makes it easy to see my progress as I understand more common words each week. The lessons are also very well tailored to my progression level, not too easy or too hard. I usually give up on online tutoring after a few sessions (because I get demotivated). I'm happy to say that I've been sticking to my learning goal well with Fajar as my teacher!
