About Jaimy G.
Hi there! My name is Jaimy, and I've been working as an NT2 teacher for 8 years now. I believe it's important for everyone to feel welcome and at ease, so I strive to create an inclusive and LGBT+ friendly learning environment. I mainly teach expats, but I have experience with various target groups. What I love most about teaching is that everyone has their own story and motivation for learning Dutch. I particularly enjoy guiding beginners in their first steps, but I'm also happy to help advanced students improve their level further. I live in Rotterdam with my partner, child, and cat. In my free time, I love animals, traveling, cooking, baking sourdough bread, and bouldering. My interest in languages and cultures helps me connect well with my students. I'm here to help you get started with learning Dutch! Currently, I mainly work with expats and international students, but everyone is welcome. I'm a certified NT2 teacher. I like to use a structured approach. We start with explanations, practice in a structured way, and eventually, you can use what you've learned during speaking or writing assignments. So, it's all about moving from theory to practice. My subject expertise is in grammar. Feel free to book a trial lesson with me so we can get to know each other and discuss your goals. Together, we'll see what you need to make progress in Dutch. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, I can help you with personal and practical lessons that match your level and interests.
