Hi, I'm Jamahl! Great to see you checking out my profile! I'm a Dutch teacher and I'm here to help you learn the language in a way that suits you. Outside of class, I love good food, making music as a hobby, and I have a passion for art. I studied Dutch at university and have been teaching for 4 years. My lessons are practical, structured, and tailored to your needs. Do you need Dutch for daily life or for work? Then that's exactly what we'll focus on. You're welcome here whether you're starting from scratch, already know a bit of Dutch, or are at an intermediate level and want to grow further. My passion is helping people, and nothing makes me happier than seeing you grow and succeed. Sometimes we work seriously, sometimes playfully, but always with joy. My background and approach I studied Dutch and English and earned an associate degree. That's why I know the Dutch language inside out: the grammar, pronunciation, and the pitfalls for non-native speakers. I've been teaching adults for 4 years and work with both absolute beginners and students who already know some Dutch and want to advance. Since I also studied English, I understand what it's like to learn a language and can explain why things work the way they do in Dutch, so you understand it instead of just memorizing it. Here's what my teaching method looks like No lesson is the same, because every student has a different goal. That's why I always start with an introduction and a short assessment. Then, together with you, I create a personalized learning plan. Goal-oriented: we choose a clear goal, such as daily conversations, work, an integration or language exam, or just building confidence in speaking. Speaking from lesson one: you'll start talking right away, even if you're just beginning. This way, you quickly build confidence. Structure with room for freedom: each lesson has a clear structure (review, new material, practice, wrap-up), but I adjust the pace and content to what you need. Practical materials: we work with real-life situations, like ordering in a restaurant, having a conversation at work, making a phone call, or writing an email. Pronunciation and correction: I correct you in a friendly way and give you tips to improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Summary and homework: after each lesson, you'll receive a short summary and, if you want, small exercises to reinforce what you've learned. Who is this for?
