About Johannes T.
I'm an experienced native Dutch teacher. I have been teaching Dutch and English for the past 13 years in Thailand. I live in Thailand. Here I occasionally still help people (children and adults) learning English, but I tutor primarily Dutch. I do this for people from all around the world, beginners tot very advanced students. I like to help people to learn a new language. so they can improve the way they communicate in daily life with foreign people.

Hans T. is an excellent teacher for advanced pupils. Because of his long term experience and engagement he is able to assess and to find the right level. He has knowledge, self dicipline, empathy and a wide range of actual topics. He is reliable, always well prepared and the lessons are good structured. Thanks. R.

Unfortunately, I am an ex-student BUT that is only because of him going into semi retirement and our time availablity was rough (11 hour difference). For the year or so that we worked together, I have had a good experience and I enjoy the slidshow methods. I personally got along with Johannes and was bummed when we had to discontinue for the reason stated (which is very reasonable). I've noticed some of the negative reviews and I am sorry you had a bad experience but I would recommend Johannes. I like how he is straightforward and does not sugarcaot things. When I would have to take few week breaks due to travel and family issues, we would pick up from the begining as a refresher. He was always very patient a flexible with my rescheduling and not many tutors are understanding of why someone may need to cancel or reschedule at last minute. I would personally recommend Johannes for learning Dutch as I found him to be very patient, flexible, straightforward, and I honestly enjoyed his personality! I wanted to write this review for a few reasons, 1). for sharing my postive experience, as well as to thank him for the lesson we had and for making them enjoyable, 2). seeing the negative reviews made me frown because Johannes is a great tutor. I hope this will be helpful for anyone reading reviews! Again, I highly recommend hin as a tutor for Dutch. If the time zone situation was not as evil as it is, I would still be continuing my lessons with him (:

I have found Johannes to be an excellent tutor. He is patient, friendly and very helpful. His method of teaching is absolutely right for me and helps expand my current knowledge of Dutch. I can highly recommend him.

I have taken a lesson with Johannes two years back and I still cant get over a fact that He siad he wouldnt want to continue with me bcuz one time I was so late in the nail salon and I told him I was so sorry but I couldnt get out earlier. I really truly sincerely apologized. To what Johannes told me that he cant continue with me because we are very different. Ummm what? I think the man is tired from so much teaching and he doesnt value each student. Which he should. I am an English teacher myself and I cant imagine being so closed minded. Thank you for that one lesson I had with you.
