About John B.
With a Master’s degree in Political Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and a PGCE, as well as over six years of tutoring experience, I’m the professional British English teacher to get you speaking English naturally like a native speaker. I have been teaching with Preply since January 2019. Working for Preply and several other tutoring agencies, including Open English and Cambly, I have helped both adults and children, from absolute beginners to advanced business and conversational English speakers. I've got an intermediate level of Spanish. I've lived in Argentina for more than five years. I'm able to explain difficult concepts and correct the grammatical mistakes that native Spanish speakers often make in their speaking. While working at Open English, I mostly taught conversational and professional English to native Spanish speakers. At university, I was a Political Science tutor. I'll improve your academic and business English. You'll be able to speak and write with more confidence and accuracy. I'll guide you with writing emails, giving presentations and structuring reports. I'll prepare you for the IELTS exam. You'll get the speaking score you need. If you want to simply improve your general English, I will provide you with textbooks and other written materials from leading publishers like Oxford and Cambridge and correct your classwork and homework exercises in class. I work with students of all backgrounds and levels. Towards the end of a class, I will give you an article to read that we can discuss in our next class. The articles that we will talk about include a wide range of topics from Donald Trump's trade war to Anime and AI. Our conversations will be wickedly fun! I'm curious about the world. We can switch from speaking about the ethics of war to discussing what's trending on TikTok. I love to read philosophy and history. Maths and science intrigue me. English is best served sparkling 😉 A bit late to the party? Book a trial lesson!

John cancelled on me 1 hour before our first session. I felt it was very unpolite and unprofessional. I gave him another chance, but he cancelled on me again a few hours prior to meeting.
