About Lisa W.
Hi there, nice to meet you!! Welcome to my page. I'm Lisa, and I graduated in Corporate Communication from Tilburg University. You might wonder what Corporate Communication has to do with learning a language. A big part of my studies focused on teaching the Dutch language. I've learned a lot about tone of voice, phonetics (how to pronounce words), and storytelling. Plus, I'm a real language enthusiast and I'm currently learning a third language: Italian! I also teach English to young children, so you can count on me being one of the most patient people you'll ever meet. In my lessons, we'll go over your homework, learn new vocabulary and grammar, and I'll share all sorts of handy tips and tricks. I know that Dutch can be quite an intimidating language. It often lacks logic and sounds like a strange mix of English, German, and French. But don't worry: you've just taken your first steps towards becoming a true Dutchie! Send me a message, and we'll schedule a trial lesson together! I teach English to young Italian children, preparing them for the Cambridge exams. I use games and fun activities to keep their attention. I believe you learn a language best by immersing yourself in it. That's why I think it's important for you to build confidence and dare to speak the language! During our first lesson, I'll assess your current level of Dutch.
