About Lotte V.
Hi! I'm Lotte, and I'm from the Netherlands. I have several years of experience as a teacher and coach, and I love teaching online Dutch classes to students of all levels and backgrounds. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my students better. That's why we talk during the lessons about topics that you find interesting and that relate to your life, interests, and goals. This way, the lessons don't feel forced or school-like, but instead, we have natural and organic conversations where you learn to use Dutch just like you would outside of class. In my free time, I love to travel and enjoy surfing, running, horseback riding, and having adventures with my dog. I'm curious about other people and cultures, and I’d love to hear more about your life and interests. I've worked for several years as a teacher and coach in Dutch vocational education, where I taught in a bilingual program. This has given me a lot of experience in teaching, personal guidance, and communicating in both Dutch and English. My lessons are personalized and tailored to your level, learning goals, and learning style. I guide complete beginners who want to learn Dutch step by step, as well as more experienced students who want to speak more fluently, naturally, and with more confidence. We can work on speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing, using topics that are relevant and interesting to you. This way, there’s no standard lesson that’s the same for everyone, but an organic lesson where you actively practice with Dutch that you can really use. Plus, we get to know each other better, which is really fun! I provide clear explanations, ask lots of questions, and create a calm environment where you can make mistakes. Because it’s through trying, talking, and making mistakes that you make progress. Do you want to finally dare to speak without translating every sentence in your head first? Or do you want to feel more confident when using Dutch at work, while traveling, or in contact with others? I help you turn knowledge into real communication. During the trial lesson, we’ll discuss what you already know, what challenges you face, and what you’d like to achieve.
