About Mirjam O.
Do you want to improve your Dutch and are looking for personal assistance? Do you have a goal you want to reach? I would be happy to tutor you with a tailored plan that suits you the best. I am a native Dutch Tutor, highly experienced in learning new languages. I know what it is like to learn a new language, especially Dutch can be a tricky language to learn. This is why I believe working with a tutor is powerful to master the language. Over the last 20 years, I learned 7 new languages myself: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Latin, Greek. I studied Greek and Latin and Languages and Cultures at the University of Utrecht. Through my work as a life coach, I guided many people to reach their goals. Goals that matter such as learning a new language. What to practice and improve your Dutch? I would be happy to mentor you. Just book the first lesson with me so we can find out if we are a good match. I have 5 years of teaching experience and guided over 70 students from over 10 nationalities to their desired level. For beginners level, I work with the flipped classroom technique to boost confidence and quick learning. For intermediate level I tailor my materials to your needs, learning style and goals. Other options are: conversation classes, preparing for the "inburgeringsexamen", or business Dutch. I can't recommend Mirjam highly enough. She's a genuinely excellent teacher: patient, warm, and encouraging every step of the way. What sets her apart is how she tailors the lessons to real life: instead of abstract textbook drills, we work on the Dutch I actually need for everyday situations, which makes everything stick. My confidence speaking Dutch has grown enormously thanks to her. If you're looking for a kind, skilled, and dedicated tutor, Mirjam is the one.

I’ve tried a few tutors before and I have to say Mirjam is the best! She’s helped me to pass Dutch B1. She provides many materials outside of the lesson which fits my needs. The lesson is well structured and she always answers my questions in a nice way, not saying ‘it’s just how Dutch is’ like some other tutors. Highly recommended. It’s sad that I’ll stop learning from her but I’m pretty sure I’ll come back to her in the future. :)

I have been doing dutch courses with Mirjam for little over a year now. During this time we have developed a plan, and with her help I managed to polish certain aspects of my language, progress noticeably, and even take the inburgeren exams. Mirjam is a supportive teacher, attentive to detail, extremely patient and understanding. She knows how to actively listen to you and critically provide feedback in a manner in which you can understand and grow. Additionally, the classes with her are always fun, which makes time throughout the lessons pleasant. I recommend taking Mirjam s classes to everyone who would like to learn dutch, improve it, and for those who are aspiring to work and integrate in the Dutch society.

I have been learning Dutch with Mirjam for 3 months and I see great progress. During my trial lesson, Mirjam listened carefully to my goals, especially my wish to speak more and improve my pronunciation, and she designed lessons with focus on all imortant area for me: speaking, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and pronunciation. Mirjam is always very positive and patient, so I feel really comfortable speaking and asking questions. I always look forward to our lessons!
