About Ria V.
In our lessons, speaking comes first. I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it in real, relaxed conversation. Whether you're just starting out or already speak some Dutch and want to become more fluent, I’ll guide you with patience, clarity and encouragement. I currently live in Spain, where I’m also learning a new language myself. So I truly understand how it feels to struggle with vocabulary, grammar and confidence. That’s why I focus on creating a safe space where making mistakes is not only okay — it's part of the journey! Even though I’m new to tutoring online, I bring over 30 years of experience in helping and guiding people through my work in healthcare. Communication, patience and empathy have always been at the core of what I do — and these qualities translate naturally into one-on-one teaching. I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where students feel safe to speak, make mistakes and grow. I know from personal experience what it’s like to learn a new language — I’m currently learning Spanish myself. Ria is a very nice and patient tutor. She helps me with practicing my speaking and correcting my grammar. She's not the type of tutor who will make you feel bad for committing a lot of mistakes; therefore, I feel more confident to practice and be corrected. Ria is also knowledgeable and able to explain things to me whenever I have questions. She will tailor your lessons based on your current level and goal.
