About Steven W.
Hello, I am Steven. I am a 39-year-old native Dutch tutor. I would love to help you learn the Dutch language, customs, and culture. In the first 32 years of my life, I was in The Netherlands where I have been teaching, training, and mentoring written and spoken Dutch to all skill levels. In the past 7 years, I have been living and teaching throughout Europe. Whilst enriching my general cultural knowledge, I have had the pleasure of having students from many different backgrounds from all over the globe. I am a language and communication teacher. I have over 15 years of private (1:1) teaching experience. This varies from teaching language learners from total beginners to C1. But also C2 and native level for students who are searching to improve their overall communication. My experience in teaching Dutch includes both groups and individuals. This includes preparing for examinations for newcomers in the Netherlands and doing practice exams for: - NT2 Staatexamen (inburgeringsexamen, Netherlands) - CNaVT-examens (Belgium) If you are studying in The Netherlands and you have a specific Dutch exam (for example you study medicine and need to pass Dutch) I can also help with my experience. Additionally, I have over five years of experience teaching Dutch to groups of customers service agents (B2-C1 level) in the UK, USA and throughout the EU this experience has provided me with enhanced cultural insights. I am very satisfied with Steven's lessons! The lessons have a clear structure and contain a lot of useful information that can be applied directly in practice. Steven is a good tutor, teacher and his way of teaching is relaxing and you have fun at all. We've been having lessons for 4 months and I can see the change in my Dutch already as I was a totally beginner. I strongly recommend him for those to learn Dutch as beginners and as well as the ones need Dutch practice for intermadiate and upper levels. He's a super teacher.
