About Willem B.
Hi! I am Willem! 👋 I am a polyglot, born and raised in the Netherlands 🇳🇱. I hold a Master's degree in International Relations and a TESOL certificate. Over the past few years, I have taught languages in various countries during my travels. Along the way, I discovered that learning a language is one of the most enjoyable ways to meet people, understand cultures, and truly feel at home in a new place. Since then, learning languages has become a real passion of mine. I have learned several languages myself, including English 🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸, and German 🇩🇪, and I am currently learning Vietnamese 🇻🇳. Because of this, I know exactly what it feels like to learn a new language: searching for words, making mistakes, and that moment when you can suddenly have a real conversation. 😊 I have been using that experience for the past few months to help others learn Dutch. My approach to teaching Dutch as a second language (NT2) is entirely practice-oriented: personal and interactive through extensive speaking. I apply the foundation of my TESOL certification to efficiently teach you the structure of the language. During our lessons, you can count on a safe and calm environment where making mistakes is allowed and you learn at your own pace. We focus on maximum speaking time and plenty of interaction so that you learn to speak quickly and comfortably. When you need it, I will provide clear and understandable explanations of grammar and sentence structure. The lessons can be fully supported in Dutch 🇳🇱, English 🇬🇧, or Spanish 🇪🇸, depending on what works best for you. Do you want to learn Dutch in a practical and fun way? My lessons focus on speaking, practicing, and gaining more and more confidence in Dutch, without stress. We work with topics and situations that suit you, so you learn what you can *really* use in daily life. To see if we click, you can easily book a short 25-minute trial lesson. That way, we can immediately discuss your goals and see how I can best help you. Does this sound good? Go ahead and book a short trial lesson. I look forward to meeting you and getting started together! 🙂
