The focus will be on day-to-day language and situations, which also happens to be the main focus of the major Dutch language exams (in case you need to prepare for one of them). I always make sure to adjust to students' level/pace, so you can be sure that you won't feel overwhelmed. I generally advice my students to use a textbook as a guideline because the books introduce the grammar points in a logical order. I'd be happy to recommend you a book based on your level after our first lesson. Having said that, the benefit of 1-on-1 classes is that we can focus on what is important for you! We will not simply be following a book page by page.
