About Jules
Hi there! Welcome to my page. My name is Jules, I am from Brussels, studied Latin & Greek at the Vivarium Novum Academy in Rome and love languages, especially ancient ones.
Teaching style
Latin: I teach most of my students Latin from scratch using the Orberg Method, which teaches Latin in Latin. The book, Familia Romana, starts with small, easy sentences which gradually become more complex and build up your vocabulary. This way you will read your first Latin texts in no time. We can also read ancient or Renaissance authors. Ancient Greek: For Ancient Greek, I start with the Polis Method up to B1, after which I switch to Athenaze (Italian edition). We can also read authors (Attic & Koiné, Lucian is my favourite). Since I often teach in sequence, it can happen that classes start up to 5 minutes after the booked time.
- Also speaks
- english, german, greek, italian, persian(farsi), chinese
- Focus
- Latin, Greek (Ancient), Conversation

Jules has been teaching me Latin for well over a year. I would never have believed before we started that I would be able to read original Latin texts and ask and answer questions about them with Jules in spoken Latin. It’s really a dream come true - thank you so much.

κάλλιστα· τὸ δίδαγμα ἤρεσκε μοι πολύ. διαλεχθέντες μόνον τῇ ἑλληνικῇ τῇ παλαιᾷ ἀνέγνωμεν τὸν Λουκιανόν.
