About Marjolein
I love teaching Dutch, English and Spanish on Italki! :) I'm a certified language teacher, speaker and polyglot! At the moment, I speak 8 languages and aiming for more. As a polyglot and experienced language teacher, I can help you to effectively and efficiently learn a language. What are you waiting for? ;) I believe in a communicative approach: my students start speaking from day 1 by being introduced to basic structures! These structures are building blocks for creating many sentences. We will also practice specific sounds (pronunciation), and you'll be introduced to new vocab through conversation. Grammar is touched upon when a mistake is made, or when the message is not clear. Let me be your personal cheerleader! I'm a very patient, understanding, ambitious and cheerful teacher who knows all about learning languages and the difficulties along the way. (Keep in mind that if you don't show up to a lesson, I kindly ask you to pay due to reserving that slot in my calendar for you instead of teaching others. :) )

Apart from being good teacher, She is such a good motivator.
I cannot express in words how wonderful Marjolein is as a teacher. I got little sleep last night and didn't prepare for the lesson. But still, she got me to speak Dutch, she taught me lots of new things, and she kept me trying. If I were her, I would have given up on me today. But she doesn't give up. She keeps you going. She's really amazingly good at her job.
I really enjoyed my trial lesson with Marjolein. She is very kind, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made me feel comfortable as a complete beginner. She explained things clearly and guided me through the basics, such as introductions and important verbs. She also shared helpful resources and worked with a structured sheet during the lesson, which made everything easy to follow. I’m very happy with the lesson and keen to continue learning with her.
Marjolein is always helping me progress my Dutch to the next level. Every lesson flows so well as she incorporates a few rules or sentence structures that she reuses throughout the lesson.
