About Helena V.
Hi there! My name is Helena, an energetic and experienced Dutch teacher with an academic background in Linguistics and a Master's degree in Latin American Studies. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I currently live in beautiful Amsterdam. Since 2019, I have been helping expats master the Dutch language and confidently apply their skills in everyday life. I specialize in preparing students for the Civic Integration Exam, and I’m proud to say that all my students have successfully passed their exams! As a warm and patient teacher who speaks multiple languages myself, I understand the challenges of learning a language like no one else. I’m here to help you build confidence, overcome obstacles, and genuinely enjoy every step of your Dutch learning journey! I have over 5 years of teaching experience and specialize in preparing students for their Civic Integration Exam. For 2 years, I worked as a Dutch teacher at a local language institute in Amsterdam, where I taught both group classes and private lessons with a strong focus on conversation and practical speaking skills. Because I speak fluent Spanish and English (C2 level), I can effectively teach you Dutch using one of these languages as a base. This multilingual approach allows me to explain complex grammar concepts and cultural nuances in a way that resonates with your native language, making your learning process more efficient and enjoyable! Together, we will explore the Dutch language! With my experience and multilingual approach, we will overcome any challenges. I’m here to support you and build your confidence. Let’s embark on this learning journey together!
