About Julian K.

Hi there! My name is Julian, and I have a genuine passion for languages. This passion started at a young age because I grew up bilingual. I've always loved communicating with people in different languages, and I now enjoy using this enthusiasm to help others as a teacher. Although I was born in Poland, I grew up in a Dutch city close to the German border. Because of this background, I automatically learned three languages at a young age. Later, I taught myself English, both through school and daily social interactions. I’m currently studying International Business at Maastricht University, which is taught entirely in English and takes place in a very international environment. Being surrounded by people from all over the world really motivates me to help others develop their language skills. Whether you want to learn Dutch for fun, to enhance your social life, or to boost your job prospects, I’m here to help! My classes are flexible, student-centered, and tailored to your goals and pace. You can always practice real conversations, ask questions, and make mistakes because that’s how you learn best! I specialize in teaching beginners and intermediate learners, as well as expats, students, and professionals. I create a friendly and relaxed learning environment where you feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. My lessons focus on everyday Dutch language use, so you learn how the language is actually used in daily conversations. I also provide cultural insights about life in the Netherlands and can help you prepare for exams or practical language needs, such as work, study, or moving abroad. I look forward to helping you achieve your language goals and build your confidence in Dutch. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions :). Cheers, Julian I have extensive personal experience with daily learning and using multiple languages. Growing up bilingual and later learning English on my own, I understand well the challenges language learners face. Within my international study environment, I regularly help friends and classmates improve their Dutch. For example, by practicing conversations, explaining grammar, or preparing them for everyday situations in the Netherlands. Additionally, I am a student ambassador at my university. In this role, I prepare incoming students for their start at a Dutch university, guiding them in academic practices as well as in Dutch culture and the basics of the language. You can count on personal guidance, a pleasant and open learning environment, and plenty of practical practice in Dutch, tailored to your interests and level. With my bilingual background, international experience, and personal language journey, I’ll help you build confidence and speak Dutch in real, everyday situations.

Julian goes at our pace, gives us plenty of time for our own topics, questions and comments. He's very patient with us and also understands some of our weird pronunciation and or words that we may have seen. Also a really nice guy, it doesn't feel like a tutor it's like speaking with an old friend each time we meet - he takes a genuine interest in you and your goals, plus remembers your interests.
