About Kiki K.
Hi, I am Kiki, born in Belgium but raised in the Netherlands, currently living in the North East of the United Kingdom. I live here with my two rescue dogs and husband. When I am not working I like to hike with my dogs, take care of my plants and garden, do some crocheting, I love music, movies and Dutch/English/ American literature. I have 18 years experience in teaching when I worked as a Staff advisor education in the Erasmus Medical Center Sophia's Children's hospital in Rotterdam. I taught new trainees all the techniques of the doctor's assistant profession such as venipunctures, basic life support etc. but also the Dutch language when they had to hand in weekly reports. I am certified in teaching Dutch, I have a Preply certificate and always had great interest in languages. What I find important as a tutor, is that we have a look at your wishes and goals together, I am a strong believer in a student centered approach, everyone learns in a different way. Also creating a safe and pleasant environment is very important in my way of teaching. Whether you want to keep up to date with your conversational Dutch or want to start from scratch, I'm here for you. Don't hesitate, I know Dutch can be hard sometimes but it's a beautiful language!
