About Lotje L.
Hello, my name is Lotje. I have been studying Italian for most of my life, since I was 18, and I love it! What I love about learning another language is getting to know yourself in another culture, expressing yourself in another language. I didn't feel that with English, which I studied at secondary school, but I do feel it with Italian, where I lived for two years. I am qualified to teach both in the Netherlands and in Italy. I have different teaching degrees from different countries. At the moment I only teach Italian people. I think I can help Italian people really well with learning Dutch, since I know their mothertongue and where the mistakes come from. I have 16 years of teaching experience. For three years I taught history and Italian language at high schools. Another 10 years I taught Italian at private institutes and volksuniversiteiten in the Netherlands. Since 2016 I have been a self-employed entrepreneur with weekly group lessons and private lessons. In COVID times I developed online asynchronic courses. There are now over 800 students enrolled in the online courses. I love students who know what they need and ask me for it! I can help you with your language, but I also can help you to become a more efficient learner (self-efficacy). My students are highly motivated, high functioning people and I would like to meet you too! Book a trial lesson so we can get to know each other and see what your needs are. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Lotje always provides very clear explanations and knows how to explain difficult concepts very simply. She is friendly and always ready to help you, guiding you in learning in every area: writing, reading, and conversing. The lessons with Lotje never feel heavy. With targeted and accessible exercises, she explains grammar, writing, and conversation rules in a natural way. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Dutch for daily life (work, social life). Show original
