Hey! Great to see you checking out my profile. Do you want to speak fluent Dutch with active, personalized lessons? Then you’ve come to the right place! My name is Max, I’m 25 years old and I was born in the Netherlands. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree to become a teacher in social sciences and I have over a year and a half of experience teaching at a high school. I’m an enthusiastic, patient teacher with a passion for teaching. In my lessons, we focus mainly on doing and speaking. You won’t just learn grammar; you’ll apply it right away in conversations. This way, you’ll quickly become more confident speaking Dutch in everyday life. Every student learns differently. That’s why we’ll fully tailor the lessons to your goals: - Do you want to improve your speaking skills? - Prepare for an exam (like NT2)? - Or use Dutch at work? I’ll help you with a clear approach that fits you. Since I’m in an educational program, I know how effective learning works. This allows me to provide you with exactly the tools you need to make progress. Dutch is my native language, so I can really teach you to speak like a native. Having learned multiple languages myself, I understand the challenges you might face. I speak fluent English (C2) and Spanish (C1), and I can also support you in German, French, and Farsi. In our lessons, we’ll actively work together by practicing a lot. Effectively learning a new language is all about doing! There’s plenty of room to practice speaking skills through everyday conversations. This way, you’ll really sound like a Dutch person. Of course, we’ll first look at your starting level together: my lessons for beginners will look different from my lessons for advanced students. I really look forward to my lessons with Max. He is great fun. He varies the way we learn, from answer/question to written work, dictation, exercises, puzzles, stories, songs etc. It's a perfect balance of learning grammar alongside new vocabulary. He sets very good homework and is always available to answer my (many) questions. 10/10 recommend. I was not a strong language learner at school so it is fantastic to find a passion for it now.
