About More options
Hello, my name is Marieke. I live in Portugal with my family since 2022 and I enjoy working in my vegetable garden every day. I also have three dogs, a cat and 8 chickens. Teaching gives me a lot of energy and combines so nicely with my new way of life. I enjoy it every day. I have experience in teaching Dutch to foreign-language children. At my children's former school, I supported children in learning Dutch for several years. I started teaching NT2 in March 2024. It is wonderful to do, the contact with people combined with helping them learn the Dutch language. I have created and taught many lessons in the meantime. I adapt the lessons to your learning needs, so it is always tailor-made. We regularly adjust the lessons together so that it is always what you need to progress in the language. Are you a non-native speaker and would like to learn Dutch or improve your Dutch further? I can help you with that. Dutch is a difficult language, but with the right guidance, you can certainly learn it. I make the lessons especially for you and I always adapt them to your needs. If you think I can help you, you can book a trial lesson via my profile. There you will find my lesson schedule. Basically, 30 minutes is enough to get an idea of what I can do for you.

Marieke is an amazing teacher. She works well with kids- she connected with my 7-year old son immediately. He seems engaged during the lessons which is not an easy task to achieve with kids :) we look forward to continuing the journey with Marieke.

Marieke is a wonderful Dutch teacher. Her lessons are engaging and interesting, and time always flies by. Thanks to her teaching, my Dutch has improved a lot and I feel much more comfortable using it in my day-to-day life.
