About Olga K.
Hi there! My name is Olga, and I’m an Italian language teacher with 17 years of experience, 14 of which I’ve spent teaching online. I’m a polyglot and speak Russian, Ukrainian, Italian, English, and Dutch. Since I’m constantly learning new languages, I really understand all the challenges students face. I’ve been living in the Netherlands for a year and a half, and during this time, I’ve reached a B1 level in Dutch thanks to my understanding of language structure and teaching methodology. These same skills, along with my knowledge of Italian (CILS C2 certificate) and teaching methods (DITALS certificate from the University for Foreigners in Siena), help my students successfully pass exams and gain confidence in speaking Italian. Recently, I’ve been actively studying and applying the lexical approach and the Dogme method, which help students notice and remember word combinations in any text. Want to give it a try? The lessons with Olga have brought me immense benefit. Especially in terms of Italian pronunciation! I was focused on grammar and vocabulary study, but I never thought about how much speech can change if you work on the pronunciation of sounds. Such subtle details, and you need to have the skills to notice them. And it was Olga who noticed this and helped me correct my pronunciation. The lessons are very interesting, and the homework is done on the computer directly on the platform that Olga uses, which is very convenient. I have been studying Italian with Olga for many years, and I am very glad that our paths crossed many years ago. Thanks to Olga, I easily passed the Italian exam required for applying for citizenship, and I have come to love this language, with its complex grammar and extensive vocabulary. Olga conveys new grammatical rules very clearly and structurally (my favorite parts of the lessons) and creates a unique program for each student, taking into account individual capabilities and skills. Just wonderful )) there are no other words! In 3 months, she brought me to a conversational level! (And considering that we manage to meet once a week, or even less) She always supports me when it seems like nothing is working out) Always in a good mood!
