About Sophie H.
Hello, my name is Sophie. I am a certified Dutch teacher. I have been working as a language teacher for more than 5 years now! In the past, I have worked as a Dutch language teacher at a school in The Netherlands. And from 2018 until 2020 I worked as an English teacher at a private academy in Spain. If you are looking for a professional teacher that can help you improve your language skills in a motivating and friendly environment? Then I am the right person for you! During my teaching experience, I have taught several groups of different ages and different levels ranging from A1 to C1. I have experience teaching children, from the ages of 8 and older. Moreover, I have helped many students passing their NT2 exams! I tailor my classes so it fits your objectives. In the price of a single class I also include homework, writing assignments and I check the writing tasks including feedback. Moreover, I will provide you with helpful resources that you can use outside of our classes. I keep my classes interactive, I am a very open and sociable person. I like to connect with people. When I teach I like to keep my classes dynamic and fun. I like to accept challenges and take language learning to a higher level. Sophie is an exceptional teacher! Before I started lessons with her I tried group classes, but it was extremely challenging since everyone had a different learning speed so at times I was lost. Sophie changed all of that for me! She puts a lot of work into each class - from the sessions to the homework to correcting your homework and clearing doubts - you can see how much she cares for her students. She is a great Dutch teacher and I highly recommend her to anyone who is learning Dutch (irrespective of how much Dutch you already do or do not know)!

Sophie is a phenomenal tutor. Engaging and informative class structure with plenty of examples and immense patience. If you are looking for a tutor who is an easy conversationalist and more than competent, stick with Sophie. Bedankt voor je hulp, Sophie!

Thanks Sophie for all the enthusiastic and fun lessons! Starting at an A2 level, I obtained the NT2 Staatsexamen for B1 in less than a year thanks to Sophie. She has helped me become more confident in talking dutch and more motivated to practice my dutch with colleagues and classmates! She is organised, gives plenty of tips, keeps the lessons fun, and adapts to your own goals. She is a great teacher! :)

Sophie was my Dutch tutor for 1.5 years. I can confidently say she is an exceptional teacher! My Dutch skills improved a lot all thanks to her. She always prepared lessons ahead of time. They were based on interesting topics, full of new vocabulary and exercises, covering speaking, reading, and listening comprehension and grammar. She designed a lot of these exercises all by herself! Sophie went out of her way to make lessons enjoyable and adapted them to my interests and needs. She always carefully checked my homework, explained everything clearly and answered all my questions patiently. She is a kind and friendly person. I highly recommend lessons with Sophie!
