About Tess N.
Hi, I'm Tess, I am from the Netherlands and my native language is Dutch. Teaching is one of my biggest passions, together we can work towards your goal. I tailor every lesson to your level and goal. The lessons are structured and relaxed. I focus on practical conversation, reading, writing and building confidence. Whether you want to improve your speaking skills, learn how to read and write, or prepare for life in the Netherlands (or another country) we can do that together! Currently, I work as dive instructor in Indonesia, where teaching is a regular part of my daily work. I guide international students step by step through both theory and practice. This requires clear explanation, patience, and adapting to different learning styles. I'm naturally patient, calm and I enjoy guiding people step by step until they feel confident. Learning a new language can feel overwhelming, especially if you're afraid of making mistakes. In my lessons, mistakes are actually welcome, they're part of the learning process. My goal is to help you speak with confidence, not perfectly. We focus on practical language you can use in everyday life, so you can start having real conversations quickly. Together we practice until it feels a lot more natural :)

Tess is very kind and patient, she is such a great teacher. What I appreciate the most is that she really listens to you and takes time to understand your level, your goals and what you actually need. She is also very proactive and always comes up with exercises and ways to help you improve. I've studied with her for two months already and my Dutch has already improved significantly, so don't hesitate to schedule a class with her!
