About Christel B.
Hello and welcome! My name is Christel. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have been living on the beautiful Costa Blanca in Spain since 2018. Before I moved to Spain, I worked for almost 12 years as a lawyer at the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND) in the Netherlands. As a result, I know better than anyone how important it is to learn the Dutch language if you want to live in the Netherlands or apply for a residence permit. I'd love to help you learn Dutch! In my lessons the emphasis is on conversation and communication, so that you really dare to speak the language in everyday life. We also pay attention to Dutch history, culture and society, which is an important part of the integration process. My lessons are practical, interactive and tailored to your personal learning goals. In my spare time I enjoy photography, traveling, walking and reading. My classes emphasize conversation. Together we look at which method or which teaching material best suits your learning style and level. I often work with the LINK+ method, or with one of the following books, depending on the level: Nederlands in gang Nederlands in actie Nederlands op niveau Nederlands naar perfectie For children from 6 to 11 years old I use the Hotel Hallo method. For younger children I recommend 30 minute lessons, so that the lesson remains fun and effective. I work with the Plein 16 method for teenagers aged 12 to 16. Are you already at B1 or B2 level? I also offer Business Dutch lessons, with teaching materials such as De juiste toon or de taaltrainer. Book a trial lesson with me to discover if we are a good match. During this first lesson we will discuss your goals and how I can help you achieve them. I will also assess your current level of Dutch, so that we can determine the right starting point together. Whether you are learning Dutch for work, daily life or the integration exam – I adapt the lessons to your needs. We can also explore Dutch culture and history – an important (and fun!) part of truly understanding the language. Let's take the first step together on your journey to learning Dutch. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Fantastic Tutor, very helpful and understanding. As someone who has struggled with languages Christel has a very good way of assisting with pronunciation and structure of sentences.
