About Elyse D.

Belgian living in Cape Verde, Africa. I worked as a language teacher in a secondary school before heading abroad in 2013. I worked for the world's leading tour operator until 2017 and lived in Dominican Republic, Greece, Turkey, Portugal and Cape Verde. Since 2017 I am running a boat excursion company on the island of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. On our authentic wooden sailing vessels, we welcome passengers from all over the world.

  Lessons are very dynamic and at the same time well structured. She is funny but professional. If necessary she can do comparison with English, French, Spanish or Italian languages. She organises the lessons on the basis of your level, needs, weaknesses and goals. She is used to write, on a shared visible chat, what you say as to show you potential goods or mistakes as well as every new word we encounter. After the lesson she sends the material used during the lesson and the one you need to practice by your own. She is flexible and kind. I definitely recommend her.

  Elyse is a fantastic teacher! She is creative, yet structured. The lessons with her are pure joy as she easily accommodates to learner's needs on the day. I have a very challenging work roster and still have no troubles to find common grounds for our lessons. She takes her work seriously but with a lot of fun and relevancy to the learner's agenda and requirements. Within two months we had classes, my Flemish colleagues confirmed my progress ;) I highly recommend her!

  We began to study with Elyse a bit more than a year ago , just before we moved to Belgium. First my 8 years old son and afterwards me . We had a great support from Elyse at the beginning of our transition period - along with the lessons she was helping us to understand all the details at school ( me moved at the middle of the school year). After a year my son is very confidently and almost fluently speaks Dutch. That’s also very much because of Elyse!!! From my side I also can say only best things about Elyse - always professional, going directly to the studying point and no small talks during the class. With the big patience as well)).
