About Chelsea V.
I am a five-time Dutch champion and a TeamNL athlete in ice dancing, figure skating. Besides my full-time career as an ice dancer, I spend a lot of time coaching and teaching in all disciplines of figure skating, both in Dutch and English. Apart from figure skating, I have always had a natural talent for languages. I speak my native Dutch fluently. In addition, I grew up with Indonesian and English and have a basic knowledge of French and German. I am also half Chinese-Indonesian/half Dutch and have a strong interest in different cultures. I love traveling too, which luckily I get to do a lot through my sport. I am known for being flexible, reliable, and independent. Moreover, I quickly understand how my student works and easily adapt to them. In figure skating, I have more than 5 years of teaching experience in various areas, from choreography to skating therapy. This requires excellent communication skills and a great deal of adaptability to guide each individual student optimally. I am convinced that I can also use these skills to teach in my native language. I have always had a high level of proficiency in Dutch and enjoy sharing it with others. I will adapt to the learning needs of each student and use teaching methods similar to those used in Dutch education. With my experience in teaching and languages, I am here to help you improve in Dutch. Together we'll discover your learning style so you can reach your goals. Let's start this journey together!

Lessons with her are genuily fun! She is able to adapt to my needs and wishes very well. I tend to get distracted quickly and sometimes I have a hard time to stay focused on a topic or task. Chelsea does a good job in getting me back on track again in an appreciative way when that happens. If those kind of focus-problems sound familiar to you, I highly recommend to try working with her!

Very helpful and patient. Also feels better to have a tutor a lot more closer to my age. she answered every question I had and makes the learning a lot more fun
