I’m Johan, a native Dutch tutor with 25+ years of experience in international business, leadership, and education. My lessons are relaxed, clear, and practical. They’ll help you express yourself naturally in Dutch while discovering the culture behind the language, from daily habits to subtle expressions that make conversations feel real. In a trial lesson, we start with a relaxed conversation to get to know each other, understand your goals, and see what you can improve. Born and raised in the Netherlands, now based in Southeast Asia. After more than 25 years in international business and leadership roles, I now focus on what I enjoy most: helping people connect through language, culture & personal growth. I speak four languages (Dutch, English, German, and Frisian) and know from experience how it feels to learn a new language in a different environment, the challenges, but also the joy of real progress. My lessons are personal and structured, but never rigid. True progress comes in a calm, supportive, and friendly atmosphere where making mistakes is simply part of learning. Most students choose to continue with 1–2 lessons per week to build confidence and make steady progress. Whether you’re just starting or want to sound more fluent and natural, we’ll work on what matters most to you: confidence, connection, and clear communication. My goal is to help you build practical and confident language skills, step by step, with clarity, warmth, and a touch of Dutch culture.
