About Josina B.
Hello, I am Josina! I was born and raised in Belgium, so my mother tongue is Dutch (Flemish). I am also very familiar with Dutch from the Netherlands since I used to live 12 years in Amsterdam. I am a global citizen and I am very passionate about learning and teaching languages and discovering different cultures. Apart from my native Dutch, I am also fluent in English and Spanish. For several years now, I have been learning Modern Greek. I am an experienced tutor and I am here to help you on your Dutch journey! I have several years of active teaching experience as an online Dutch language teacher, I am TEFL / TESOL certified and my approach to help you learn a new language is that it should be fun and exciting. A very friendly Dutch teacher. A true professional. I'm in my third month of classes and I've already started speaking Dutch. My boss heard me speak Dutch and said that my Dutch teacher, who teaches me, had taught me the correct pronunciation. Previously, when I tried to learn Dutch on my own, I tried to speak with the locals and was constantly met with misunderstanding, after which the Belgian would switch to English. This was extremely frustrating, and I don't understand why. Now, thanks to a good teacher, I don't encounter any misunderstandings among Belgians. I haven't been asked, "What did you say?" for a long time, and they haven't switched to English when communicating with me. A good teacher + the student's efforts = success)))
