About Robbert V.
I have been teaching philosophy, ethics and theology at the University of Amsterdam for many years, and afterwards also on the internet. I have been teaching several subjects on Preply, including philosophy. I have helped many immigrants learn Dutch when I lived in Groningen, but recently also on the Internet. Since two years I am teaching Dutch on Preply. I love teaching. I especially love it when people try to learn my language. So, do you need to learn Dutch because you (are going to) live in the Netherlands? Do you have family in the Netherlands that you want to communicate with? Is speaking Dutch a requirement in your current or future job? Or do you already know how to speak Dutch and you simply want to communicate at a higher level? I can help you! I have been teaching for as long as I can remember. First philosophy, then theology and now also Dutch. My brother, who is a Dutch teacher at a secondary school in Holland, has taught me a lot about teaching our native language. I am applying his valuable advice in my current lessons. I teach Dutch at various levels. Beginners will always have a session with me in three parts: 1. reading and pronunciation 2. grammar and exercises and 3. conversation. For intermediate students we will try many options from reading a book together to preparing conversations (for improving vocabulary). Advanced students can set their own goals and we will have sessions totally in Dutch. Why not book a trial lesson and get to know me and help me understand your goals and the amount of time you have available? Part of the trial lesson will be a real lesson and the other half will be a conversation about your motivation, goals and interests.
