Hello! I’m Sander, a native Dutch tutor with a passion for helping students improve their Dutch in a relaxed, engaging way. Whether you're a beginner starting from scratch or working toward C1–C2 fluency, relocating to the Netherlands, preparing for NT2, or aiming to ace a job interview in Dutch, I will tailor your lessons to your goals. Fun, patience, and active listening are the keys to learning Dutch — no endless homework or boring drills. We focus on learning by doing and enjoying the process! Many tutors start by memorizing difficult grammar rules, but I believe the best way to understand them is through practice. I have taught law in the Netherlands and English abroad, and in my experience, the best way to learn is by doing. Just like you don’t learn to ride a bicycle by reading a manual, the fastest way to improve your Dutch is by practicing and having fun along the way. I focus on pronunciation, conversation, and making lessons engaging so that you stay motivated while learning effectively. If you have a job interview, I can help with that too. With my background in Human Resources in the Netherlands, I can guide you through the process, reduce stress, and help you feel confident — especially when interviewing in a foreign language. When you book a trial lesson with me, we’ll start by talking about your goals and needs. I want to tailor each lesson specifically to you, so you can have the best learning experience possible. I’ll explain how most lessons are structured and share a little about myself. Thereafter, we can take a Language Level Test if needed. If you’re entirely new to Dutch, we can start right away with some basic Dutch. I look forward to seeing you in class — tot snel!
