If you work nights in a warehouse, the course that works is usually one with a schedule you can actually keep: fixed daytime group classes you attend after sleeping, one-to-one lessons you can move, or online sessions that fit around your rota. Intensive schools can work if you can block out leave. Standard evening classes are often the worst fit, because they collide with sleep and with the nights you are on.
Start with your rota, not the school
Before comparing providers, write down two weeks of your actual shifts. Mark the hours you are reliably awake and functional. A B1 course needs regular contact hours plus homework, and homework is where night workers usually fall behind. If your rota rotates weekly, a course with a fixed weekly slot will break within a month. If it is stable, a fixed slot is fine and often cheaper and more social.
Two formats tend to survive irregular hours. The first is one-to-one or small private lessons, where you can move a session when a shift changes. The second is online group work with recorded material you can catch up on. Neither is magic, but both bend where a rigid evening class does not.
The listed options and who they suit
Regina Coeli in Vught and Eindhoven is the strongest match on paper for fast progress: intensive one-to-one training, levels A1 to B2, online or in person. It fits a shift worker who can take a block of leave and wants to move quickly to B1. It does not fit someone who cannot get time off, because the format is built around concentrated days. Ask the school directly about scheduling and price.
The Square Mile Amsterdam runs business and conversational Dutch at A1 to B2, online and in person, with a reputation for fast-track and intensive programmes. It suits a worker whose employer will support language training, or who can arrange a short intensive. It is less suited to someone who needs a slow, steady weekly rhythm over many months.
CLL Brussels offers group and private Dutch lessons, intensive programmes and CNaVT exam preparation at A1 to B2, online and in person. The private and online options are the useful part for shift workers; the group intensives are harder to fit around nights. It is a reasonable choice if you are in or near Brussels and want exam preparation alongside general B1 work.
Berlitz Brussels, Berlitz Amsterdam and Berlitz The Hague all teach A1 to B2 with the Berlitz Method, in person and online, with business and private formats. Private and online lessons are the formats to ask about if your rota is unpredictable. The general group courses are less flexible. These are general providers rather than shift-work specialists, so treat the private option as the realistic route.
Dutch Academy Eindhoven covers A0 to B1 with interactive group and intensive courses, online and in person, and is well reviewed by expats for practical progress. It fits someone in the Eindhoven area with a stable rota who wants a group setting. It does not fit a worker whose shifts change weekly, since group courses follow a fixed calendar.
Regina Coeli - Medical Dutch is B1 to C1 one-to-one training aimed at medical professionals. It is on the list for completeness, but it is not aimed at warehouse staff and the content will not match your work.

What B1 actually means for you
Under the 2021 Civic Integration Act, the standard inburgering route is B1, with exams in reading, listening, writing and speaking plus KNM; a municipality can allow A2 after substantial effort. Older obligations used A2. For naturalisation the language requirement is A2 in 2026, with a move to B1 planned but no confirmed start date. Staatsexamen NT2 Programma I is B1 and is the usual route for work and vocational study. Check the official source for your own case, and see our inburgering and NT2 prep pages.
Practical advice for night workers
Protect sleep first. A course you attend tired is a course you will quit. If you can, ask each provider whether sessions can be moved, whether recordings exist, and what happens if you miss a week. Ask about price directly, since none of this is published here.
If no school format fits, a private tutor is often the answer. Our tutors page explains what Verified Pro means: a tutor with 3,000+ lessons and a 4.9+ rating on their platform. You can also use the path finder and browse by city.
How we know this: the options come from The Dutch Directory listings checked on 2026-10-31, and fit scores are editorial, not user ratings.
